7th IOC World Conference on Sport, Education and Culture

On board the Airbus 380 we fly overnight to Durban via Johannesburg and I have to admit that the new Airbus is indeed an impressing bird (although I sleep through most of the flight).

In Durban the 7th IOC World Conference on Sport, Education and Cultur takes place with its motto 'Giving a Voice to Youth'. Durban will also be the place where on July 6th 2011 the IOC will announce the winner of the Olympic bid for 2018.

But first things first. Our delegation is attending seminars led by some very influential figures in the Olympic Movement. We also have interesting talks about sustainable sporting as well as the social and cultural legacy of the Olympic Games.
