AN EVENING WITH KATARINA WITT IN GOTHA

For many years, Olaf Seibicke, the diligent and dedicated hotel manager of the Best Western Hotel Lindenhof in Gotha has been carrying out an exclusive series of events. The prestigious guest list has included celebrities such as Marianne Sägebrecht, Dr. Schirrmacher or Alfons Schuhbeck.
I had the honour to be invited on the occasion of the 40th anniversary and luckily for everyone I did not have to cook ;-) But these informal surroundings as well as the outspoken and charming host Olaf Seibicke, have tempted me to spill the beans and reveal some "little secrets" to the audience.
Besides recounting some highlights of my athletic career, I also used this opportunity to report on the activities of the Katarina Witt Foundation. This led to a spontaneous donation of 5,000 Euros to benefit the Disabled Sports Club 1991 Gotha. I would therefore like to thank again the audience, the Lions Club, the Hotel Lindenhof and of course Olaf Seibicke for their generous support. What a memorable Friday the 13th! ;-)
