BATTLE OF THE BLADES IN TORONTO

This is the right thing for me: ice, ice, baby ;-) I am invited as a guest judge for the Canadian tv show "Battle of the Blades".

Already 2 years ago Sandra Bezic, creator and co-producer, invited me to the premiere of the successful CBC show and I loved the daring concept to pair ice hockey players with figure skaters. Ice hockey and figure skating are very popular in Canada and although there is a great deal of mutual respect there also is enough "tension" to spice up an event like this.

This year international top choreographer Sandra Bezic and American ice hockey superstar Jeremy Roenick invited me to come to Toronto to be a guest judge at the halloween special of "Battle of the Blades". As "strict" devils we enjoy marveling at  eccentric costumes and refined choreography. I'm sure it is a special delight for Jeremy to see his former colleagues in sexy outfits. Here they cannot hide behind helmet, racket or clunky hockey suits. They have to score with sophisticated steps, expression and emotions ;-) The audience enjoys the show very much and already there is a 4th season scheduled for next year!
