GLOBAL SPORTS INDUSTRY CONGRESS
01.11.2010
In London I attend the Global Sports Industry Congress which brings together key decision makers in the world of sports. Once more I am reminded that sport is always a mirror to the most dynamic changes gripping the world and more than ever a powerful force in its own right. The congress explores a range of issues that this rapidly evolving industry faces. Delegates have the possibilty to discuss and exchange views on how key market players are bidding for major events, embracing new media, securing financing during the downturn, managing risks in new markets, leveraging sport tourism and maximising sustainability as well as tackling infrastructure development and broader development questions.
As the chair of our Munich 2018 bid I am very interested in hearing about the evolution of sport industry from various sides. The Congress is also a great opportunity to learn more about the team work behind the preparations of the London 2012 Summer Olympics.
