Handing Over the Bid Book in Lausanne

11.01.2011

Today at the IOC Headquarters our Munich 2018 delegation (see photo from left: Munich BID CEO Bernhard Schwank, myself, young ice hockey talent Marcus Weber) hands over our official Bid Book to IOC head of bid city relations Jacqueline Barrett (see photo, 2nd from the left).

The Bid Book is divided in 17 chapters describing our vision for Munich 2018, the sports venues, the Olympic villages, the security concept, the conditions for media, transport and housing, cultural aspects and much more. It is the result of months of painstaking work of over 100 experts and we are very proud to present it on behalf of all of the people who have been involved in its realization.

The French and Korean delegations presented their Bid Books yesterday and today we enjoyed the undivided attention :-)

18 year old Marcus Weber was invited as a representative of the Sports Youth and I'm sure it is a unique experience for him to be part of sports history at such young age.
