LAUREUS WORLD SPORTS AWARD IN BERLIN

18.04.2016

At the LAUREUS WORLD SPORTS AWARD the "Who is Who" of the international world sports in the present and the past is gathering to reward the best athletes, teams and sports personalities.

For me it is always very special to spend an evening together with sports legends and role models such as Luis Figo, Daley Thompson or sports heroines like Nadia Comaneci and Cathy Freeman. On top of that I also get the opportunity to meet and celebrate the sports idols of today. As a Laureus World Sports Academy member I am very pleased and honored to hold the eulogy to the winner of the category "Comeback of the Year". This year's award goes to the New Zealand rugby player Dan Carter.T

Today we were asked to walk the red carpet wearing sneakers to promote our common mission "Laureus Sport For Good". "Nothing better than that" I said to myself and experienced the most comfortable night of my gala evening career in my red sneakers ;-)
