. . .

It's hard to believe but we are already on our last legs of our Munich 2018 journey. Today in 6 weeks the decision will be made in Durban, South Africa and the last one and a half years will be history. Today's press conference in Munich is all about the day of the decision.

During the time when our team will be passionately presenting our application on stage in Durban, a huge party is planned for our fans in Germany. At public viewing venues in Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Königssee all friends of the Munich bid and visitors will be able to follow the live reports from Durban and support us by crossing their fingers from 8:30 on :-)

Show acts, talks with athletes, background reports and a lot of music will make it a little easier to spend the time until the afternoon. Hopefully then there will be the 'right' name written on the paper when IOC-Präsident Jacques Rogge opens the envelop to announce the host of the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2018 :-)

Today our team informs the press about all the activities during the day of the decision (f.l.t.r.): Bernhard Schwank, CEO of the Munich 2018 bid, Christine Strobl, 2nd Mayor of Munich, Dr. Thomas Bach, DOSB President and IOC Vice President, Katarina Witt, Chair of the Munich 2018 bid, Klaus Josef Lutz, CEO BayWa AG
